He immersed himself in their history & rituals, engaged with traditional Nai families and unearthed closely guarded secrets. Through countless conversations and hands-on experiences, he rediscovered ancient formulations. They were long forgotten but preserved in the memories of these master artisans. Drawing from this treasure trove of knowledge, Mr. Dixit crafted ‘Regal Silhouette,’ a fragrance embodying the wisdom & expertise of the Nai. The top notes burst with fresh zest of Nagaland Wild Lemons and Indian Lemon, intertwined with Sweet Lime, Jasmine Sambac, and delicate floral notes of Neroli & Lavender. And that we assure you is just the beginning attribute of the redolence of ‘Culture’, as it is indeed a summoning up of the soul of God’s own land, Kerala, with every note that it gradually unravels, akin to each step, performed through the venerated storytelling art of the divine dance form of ‘Kathakali’. The top notes of ‘Culture’ emerge, opening the curtains on a viridescent garden, just after the rains have offered the turfs a nice shower. These parallel the hand eye coordination and nimbleness of the feet of a Kathakali dancer with the rose leaves evoking the delicate sinuous wave and brush of the performing artist’s hands, the jasmine sambac reflecting whisperingly the speedy, nuanced footwork; and the rose bud, blooming, as the mystical expressive eyes of the artist are revealed to the world. It’s indeed ‘Thumri’, the perfume with a classical concoction that brings the ‘thumak’, the spring in your step, as you don it; taking you through a mesmerizing olfaction odyssey. A surge of the arousing refrains of ‘thumri’ is evoked initially with the fervent rupture of Indian Dark Rose interwoven delicately with the soft Like the raga of a thumri unravels, when the swaras of the ‘antara’, i.e., the heart notes ascend to a crescendo Turkish Rose. An accompaniment to this amorous tryst with the soft, velvety ‘Powdery Iris Flower’, is reminiscent of the undulating expressions of a classical ‘kathak’ danseuse.
